About me
Hi, I’m Jelena. I have always been artsy and enjoy trying new art mediums. I studied Graphic Design in college, but it was not what I expected once I got out into the real world. My high school teacher told me that I would never be satisfied until I was doing something creative and now way later in life I realize that she was correct. After a few life struggles I lost that creative passion and felt a little lost. Then Covid came along and I was in Canada at that time. The Covid lockdowns there were hard to adjust to, and like many I had to find a way to kill time. So, first started doodling; that's how the little fish on my pottery stamp and logo came to be. From doodling I decided to try polymer clay again and slowly my creative mojo returned. After many compliments from friends and family when they saw my creations I thought why use my modelling skills and try working with clay, and from then on I became obsessed with hand building pottery...t's also great therapy.
My main inspiration is the old town in Korčula, (prounouced KOR-CHOO-LAH) in Croatia. I have always loved the rich history, the Venetian facades and stone carvings.
Please note that for the 2026 tourist season I am registered as a Home Craft (Domaca Radinost) business which has strict rules; no online sales, but selling to retailers and to private customers from my doorstep are allowed.
